Client Story:
Our office recently represented a Spanish-speaking client who was employed as a domestic worker for a family living in Marin County. She had made an agreement with the family to work for $80 per day, but was working at least 7 hours each day, meaning she was being paid far below the minimum wage per hour. She also did not receive her final paycheck. Our office filed a wage claim on her behalf, and we were able to reach a settlement agreement with the employer.
